Rear Tire Jack Point

I'm looking for suggestions on jacking points to remove the rear tire. My 1200XD does not have a center stand fitted, and I wasn't happy with my solution. I used a floor jack with a piece of wood to lift the bike from the GIVI bash plate. Once the rear tire was lifted, I used jack stands to support the bike. I'm not happy with the jack stand placement on the right side as the rear brake pedal is the contact point and supports the weight. Attached are a couple photos.

This was my solution, a small scissor lift. I made some longer standpoints but when i got the skidplate i could take them of completely.


Now i have a centerstand, much easier and you also have that with you when you need it when you're out riding.

@_Ray_, where was the support point on the right side when you used the scissor jack? Brake pedal lever?

As for changing a tire when riding, I hope the tire repair kit I carry will get me out of a jam. By the way, what skid plate do you have fitted?

I had on both sides the most outer flat spot of the engine as support point.
At this moment i have the Hepco & Becker skid plate fitted but i want to change to the Givi because i go a bit more off-road than a dirt track or gravel road and already damaged the left lower engine cover. One time the mount broke of the engine block (stupid way to mount) and another time the plastic cracked.
With the Givi the lower engine covers need to go because that one comes up higher on the sides but the H & B did his work so far.
On the other side the plastic cover is now damaged after needing a Ty-wrap to stay in place.
