Does anyone know if the rear accessory racks such as this one, are interchangeable between the Crosstourer and AT? Shad list the same adapter plate for both, but it is two-piece. That would indicate that the mounting holes are the same fore and aft but are not conclusive for side to side. All of the other manufacturers have different part numbers for the two bikes. If the mounting points are the same I want to install an AT rack plate on my CT. There is a much larger selection of functional racks for the Africa Twin.

I read either on here or advrider, the Altrider rack for the AT matches up perfectly on the Crosstourer. Currently have Givi rack on mine, but have been thinking about going this route as I had an Altrider rack on Super Tenere and really liked it (plenty of places to strap down and can add Givi mount points).

I just sent Altrider the template, waiting to hear back from them. Their racks look high quality.

@DaveinNC, did you locate a Africa Twin rear accessory plate that is compatible with the VFR? I remember a post that said the AT Bumot plate was compatible with a VFR, but I can’t find the post. I was wondering if it was this plate from ADV MOTORAD:
