Goldwing Hossack Suspension On Future Bikes

I've put about 150 or 200 miles on an 18 Goldwing.  I have a bias toward that bike, but I still think it is the finest touring motorcycle ever made from a technical/engineering perspective (excluding luggage capacity reduction).  That front suspension is amazing.  Period.  Looks like they might be putting it on other bikes based on some recent patents.

Not sure if I posted this in the right section, apologies if misplaced.

I'm going to buy one of those new generation Goldwing. I like the sport tour version without the ugly top box. I'm giving it a few model years to work all the kinks out. Its a completely new motor, suspension and electronics. I'm probably going to buy a 2022 model. That gives them 4 years to tidy it up a bit.

They are practically giving away the 18s right now.

I generally avoid first second and third model years, too much headache being a beta tester.

I had a GL1800 of 2010 and I tried the new model with DCT gearbox. My conclusions are the new model get a good fork but...
The problem with this bike is the effective travel of these suspensions are too short.
Perhaps if you use your bike in the motorway in USA it will be perfect but in Europe is too short.
I prefer my VFR120X, even if the suspension are not top level.

Of course it's my point of view.

Appreciate the perspective.   You may be right on the travel.   I Live in Florida where it is actually pretty difficult to find an unmaintained road outside of Miami-Dade or Broward County.  I still just love that bike.  But, as I said before, Vette or Mustang first.

Yeah.  Not a bad practice.  But those prices are just incredible right now.  I haven't been truly shopping but others are saying all used bikes are basically at fire-sale prices right now.  I haven't talked to my Buddy who runs the Honda dealership here in town lately.
