2017 VFR1200X with 57,000 miles.
I noticed a swath of clinging dirt along lower half of the stator cover which caused me to find caked dirt and oil on the lower engine casing behind the oil hoses but not as low as the starter. I checked for loose bolts and clamps but found nothing. Cleaned it up and rode 15 miles. I found fresh oil coming out of the stator wire pass through.

The dirt there is old, not from the 15 mile ride. I did not clean that far up originally. I was focused on bolts initially and did not go up as high as the stator wire. Not shown is the fresh sheen of oil on the top rear-most stator bolts which caused me to trace upwards after the short ride.
So off to the auto parts store for some RTV....but wait, what's this "Right Stuff"?

Apparently it's the bees knees (odd expression there....) I did some internet snooping and it came with rave reviews.
I cleaned and isolated the connector wire.

Applied the Right Stuff.

Removed the tape and let it sit overnight.

Rode 70 miles the next morning. Area is dry.

A little oil makes for big messes. I'll monitor it for further action as needed but it should be good.
