Like the title says, is anyone familiar with Lextek exhaust systems? I hate having to spend over 400,- for one of famous brand. On the other hand, cheaper often means there are some quality cuts... They are modular though, meaning I can take 'm off and slip 'm on a different bike (just need the correct link pipe for about £40).

With Exhausts it's not only the brand witch makes it expensive, it's also the European homologation.
Mostly it's just the linkpipe witch makes a silencer model specific but it has to be certified for every bike separately.
In the Netherlands it won't be a real big problem but you live not real far from the German border and there it is an issue.
Louis has the LeoVince on sale at the moment and they do have the E certification.

But but... 329,- vs 200,- Lextek. Expensive stuff.

But but.... Having to change the exhaust every time you go to Germany or risking a fine plus needing your bike to be towed home or let somebody bring a approved exhaust.
If that happens one time you're already paid the same amount of money as an approved exhaust.
It's al about choices but make the choice when thinking about everything and not only the cost of the purchase.

Grr... true. I spotted XLMoto is even €50,- cheaper than Louis, but it takes around 25 days to deliver lol (warehouse is in Sweden)l. It's only €50,- more expensive than the Lextek ones without E certificate. Guess LeoVince it is.

I have to push my OEM exhaust inwards to fit my panniers. Got to check LV measurements first and I guess I'll be getting a LV exhaust somewhere in June if it's smaller than the OEM exhaust. Thx Ray :787:

Ray, ik ook. Vorig jaar verhuisd.
