    Indicator unit 2014 > 2016 model

I have changed my rear spring with a hyperpro one. In order to do so, I had to wreck half the bike and ended up spotting a unit on the left side of the bike, responsible for indicating functions. My CT is from 2014 and doesn't have position lights, like the 2016 model. I loved this on my 2016 Africa Twin and so I'm wondering if changing this unit with a 2016 model, will this give me position lights? Since the LED blinkers are all the same...

Can't help but a thought is this...

I know that the CT and the AT share quite a few parts. You could open the AT up and see if the relays are similar and try?

    I don't own the AT anymore  :034:

I am wondering if the 2016+ CT models have position lights and if they have the same kind of 'plug 'n play' indicator unit. I might be able to order one from Honda if so.

Ok. So my bike is a 2017 so it should have what you are looking for....my question is; What do you mean by "Position Lights"?

The indicators stay on, and flash when you indicate. I somehow can't find any info on the CT, but I saw someone have it in my own city...

    Ahh...ok.

Well I can tell you that my UK spec 2017 model does not have those.

I bought a set of hand guards on aliexpress that incorporated that in the plastic shield and install those to get the "position light" effect.

If you want, I can take some pictures and send you.

It's a US spec. The CT only came to the US in 2016 witch is the reason there is no model from bofore with the running lights.
Maybe from 2018 and up it is also on EU spec bikes due to a change in regulations. Since then running lights are also allowed in Europe.

Yeah, please do. I have been looking into these handguards (the more expensive barkbusters) but if half the price looks just as good, I'll take it ;)
