Well what a time to buy a Crosstourer (bought from Nick Marshal, a member of this forum)

Managed to ride it home before the lockdown and that’s it!   But ....... being in lock down has turned out to be the perfect time to find bits to go on said CT and I need it to lift as I’ll run out of money.   So far - Givi adjustable screen, SW Motech frames and their Pelican type panniers.   Hyperpro all singing and dancing shock with remote pre load and remote adjuster thingy and a new back tyre.  It was booked in for a service in Carlisle two days after lock down so that was cancelled.

Other than that, I’m getting to be a bit long in the tooth at 61 and live in south Lakeland

    Best everyone

Congrats.  You are going to love the bike and love the rear shock even more.  Ride safely and enjoy it!  What year, color, DCT or not, etc?

    Welcome Moss
Is it now forbidden to ride the bike in UK?

Other question: Is it possible for me to come, by van, to the UK for bussiness? The Belgians closed the border so the train to Folkstone isnt an option.
The ferry to Harwich still operates.

Hi there Moss and  :400: along to the colleCTive.
If you’ve bought Nick’s CT you’ve bought an absolute peach of a bike there, so here’s to many happy miles once normality returns to these shores.  :028:

    Hi All,

I didn’t even realise that I’d had replies so apologies for the slow response.

Nick’s a great guy and his bike reflects that, with lots of sensible and non ‘bling’ modifications.

The screen that was on was an MRA with a separate blade on the top.  I found it to be too low and buffeting and the Givi fixed that.  I was out yesterday in the heat and I just put the screen to the lowest setting and had plenty of airflow to keep me reasonably cool.

Not sure if I mentioned it last time, but I’ve also gone ahead and bought the all singing, all dancing Hyperpro with the twin remotes for pre load and damping adjustment.  Still not found a suitable location for the damper unit so its currently under the seat.  Next will be the K tech mod to the front.   My preference is for the smallest, most bumpy roads I can find and I am pretty amazed by how the CT takes everything in its stride.

    Best wishes

    Mark
