DCT with ABS & T/C Light Permanently on.
on: April 07, 2020, 03:36:18 PM
Hi All.
Not used my Bike in 2 Weeks so took it up the Road to get some essential Shopping.
Both the TC & ABS Lights are Permanently Lit.
Goes into 1st Gear fine but will not shift in any other Gear.
I've had a Scan of Different Forums and done everything suggested,  Brand New Battery, Checked/Changed All Fuses, Cleaned both ABS/Speed Sensors but No Joy.
It was Running Fine 2 Weeks ago when I was out on it and I've done Nothing to it.
Obviously I can't take it to a Dealer's so thought someone would be able to come up with a. Answer.

Any Help Appreciated.

Photo shows both light on and in 1st Gear but it's the same in Neutral.

Thanks for the Reply.
I've cleaned both Sensors on the front and Rear Wheels, The ones that are on the ABS Rings.
When I push the TC Switch another TC Light appears next to the one in my Photo with a Line through it, Indicating it's off.

First suspect still is the battery.
Was it a small ride to the store?

If not:
Time to read the error codes, by connecting your bike to a computer at your dealer
or find out yourself.
It works like this: KLICK and HERE

Battery Brand New, Showing 12.87v, Engine Running Showing 14.4v, Basicslly the same as the Year Old Battery that was on it when the Fault Occurred.

Got the Codes from the ABS Light by Bridging the Green & Briwn Wires.
60.
63.
11.
12.

Workshop Manual that I Downloaded explains about clearing the ABS Codes by Squeezing the Front Brake, Turn Ign on and release when the Light goes out, Squeeze when it comes on etc and it should Blink Twice when the Codes are Erased, mine Blinks 3 Times !
Now I try and get the Error Codes again by Bridging the Wires and the ABS Light just stays Permanently on, Can't get any Codes ???

So try the Bike, No Bridging Wires Connected, Ignition On, ABS & TC Light Permanently On, Start the Bike, TC Light Solid and ABS Flashes Continuously.

This is doing my Head in  :784:

Is engine still in safety mode when you drive?

You cleared the MIL codes, so they will be gone.
You started the bike and ABS is flashing, you should have new MIL codes by now.

But why I asked if the drive to the store was a short ride, was because an other rider had similar.
In this drive the cold-start setting (dont know the English word) was just turned Off and was still in Off mode.
After restarting it stayed in the Off mode and caused similar symptoms as you described.
The bike was too cold for the Off mode so the ECU pushed the safety mode.
A not fully charged battery could also be part of his problem.

60 cant be a code.
Count the long blinks as 'tens' and then the fast blinks as single digit

Record the blinks with your phone, so you can count the fast blinks (VLC player has slowplay)
