Excellent video on managing unexpected sand or gravel

The wife and I went out yesterday; each on or own bikes.  She asked about the sand that was going to be present in the area we were riding to as there is construction underway in the area (we live in Florida).  I explained it as best as I was able.  But, just as I am not a doctor, I am also not a motorcycle riding instructor.  I found this video and it is absolutely excellent.  It is about 10 minutes.  Anyhow, I hope that it helps.

Trail braking is certainly a technique that requires practice.  This video does a good job of explaining it.  If anything, trail braking will shorten the rider's perception/reaction time, and that could make all the difference in avoiding obstacles in a corner.  Thanks for posting!

I've been practicing trail braking.  You are right; it takes training.  But I want to really master it.  The speeds on the surface roads here are often 55 which means the guy behind me is doing 70 or 75...and is probably here on vacation.  I want to get off some of those roads a little quicker and trail braking certainly helps.  It also helps as indicated in the video.
