Hello fellow VFR1200X riders from West Virginia, US.
I have a 2016 VFR1200x which I bought new in 2018.   Really enjoy the bike.  I have been riding for most of my life.  First bike was a 1969 Honda 300 Dream bought in 1970.  I’m 66 years of age and have owned MANY bikes over the years.   Looking forward to checking out the forum and maybe getting to know the members.
    Have a good day!
    Ron

    Thanks for the “welcomes”!

I’ve only got about 5500 miles on the VFR thus far.   Most local rides and one week long trip on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Blessed with GREAT riding in my area.
My only mods so far have been Shad hard bags for trips; 1” bar riser/spacers; Tourtech dri-ride normal height seat; GPS mount.
Added the OEM center stand.  Have the OEM heated grips to install but haven’t yet.  Not sure how reliable they are from some posts I’ve seen.

Sounds like you are really enjoying the bike so far.  Did you go with DCT or manual?  You are really lucky to live in a beautiful area of the country for some great rides!  Though, I do get to ride year-round!

I went with the manual.  For myself...DCT of no interest to me.  Love shifting gears on anything / everything I drive.  I know a lot of people like it...and I’m not knocking it one bit...just not for me.  Saying that...all my cages are manual tranny except for a classic ‘72 Chevy C10...and I’m considering converting it over to a manual also.
