    Question about disconect battery

With this quarantine the motorcycle will be stopped for a long time, I have a question, can you disconnect the battery for several days and remove it from the motorcycle to charge without any ECU or electronic component being deprogrammed?

Thanks and please respect the quarantine.

Ecu should be fine, your clock setting and fuel l/km will need resetting when you reconnect the battery. Dont know about the HISS, it hasn’t been a problem for short periods such as a week.
It would be better to connect a smart charger/ trickle charger and then your battery and systems will be fully up to speed when you need them. We have Ctek battery chargers with flyleads fitted to both our Crosstourers and daughters Gladius, just unplug the lead and go when required, brilliant for the last 4 years. 👍

No problem with the HISS also.

    Both ways are good:
Take out the battery and put on the charger once a month.

Or leave batt in the bike and charge for 1 or 2 days, disconnect charger for ~2 weeks.
Then reconnect the charger and repeat this sequence.

    Thank you for your answers.

As I do not have a "battery optimizer", I will take it out of the bike for one day, I recharge it and the next day I put it back on the bike.

I hope everything goes well but if I had a problem I would comment it here.

    Be safe everyone.

Do you have to remove the battery to charge it? It’ll save you resetting things if you can charge it while its still connected on the bike. 👍

Yes I do, because there is no electrical outlet in my garage. The motorcycle is behind the car.  Thanks.
