NickZing - Hi all my fellow Crosstourer Riders

I've just purchased 1200x Crosstourer DCT as an upgrade from my BMW F800GS.
I wanted a bike with a bit more power as the my 2011 BMW F800GS just struggled to carry me and my luggage/camping gear and blast down the road at the cruising speed I desired.
Only been riding for 5 years, but I have managed a trip to North India and three European trips, the last in Aug 2019 to Italy.
As I work out in Swindon/Bristol, I mainly just use the bike for touring and where possible like to do the servicing work myself so I know it's done right.
Based in Uxbridge and would love to meet up with any other riders in the area at Ace Café for a chat and coffee!

    Nick

Congrats on the new bike.  Though I've never ridden the 800 the lack of power surprises me.  This is a great bike.  What year did you pick up?

Hi Nick and  :400: along to this fine colleCTive, enjoy your new CrossTourer.
I’d like to think that once this current situation passes we could perhaps organise some sort of informal CT gathering, hopefully it’d be this year, fingers crossed.  :028:

I picked up a 2012 DCT which is taking some getting used to.
I find it goes up the gears quick, not so quick coming down which means you ride in a higher gear than what I would have if a manual box. Throttle is very sensitive so again, need some work to iron out the urge rev it hard from the lights...bad habits!
Overall, lovely bike, nice riding position and smooth with that shaft drive.

    Welcome Nick  :028:

I do drift to the Ace once in a blue moon for various club meets (all on hold at present)

As for your India tour if you enjoyed it as much as I did then it's a winner and somewhere I intend returning to.  :062:
