Has anyone tried to install givi regular crash bars on a vfr1200x DCT

I believe it can be done but you need to cut a little out of the plastic DCT cover to clear one of the mounts.

It worked great . you have to cut the cover to fit. the only problem is to take that cover off you must loosen the crash bar to get it off

I'm not quite sure but I think Givi has a dedicated crash bar just for the DCT

They do there is a trim out in the bar for the cover. You wedge a socket in there to tighten it up.
