    Just thinking about it...

Had my 2012 DCT for about 4 years now and love her to death.  Does absultely everything I ask of her, top reliability, comfort, smoothness, power...etc, etc, etc...we all know the benefits.
    But the weight...oof!
Just thinking about maybe trading her in for something a bit lighter...any suggestions (NOT GS...already been down that road and not going back!)?
It must be a shafty...1000cc or more...suitable for touring and Central London traffic...just can't seem to find anything that even comes close to the CS.

For me it’s a concern for the future too what with Honda stopping production. I love the four cylinder smoothness so no twins thank you, got to be shaft-chains are messy and need constant care and frequent replacement- and it’s got to have torque, lots and lots of it.
I just hope someone comes along to challenge the BMW market domination sometime.

    You would have to compromise:

    Love the V85TT

S10's and full touring barges (Pan/FJR etc) are all still in the heavyweights.

Going to be a short list!

The Yamaha XT1200Z Super Ténéré may meet your requirements.

Tend to agree, had one prior to my first CT.
A very underrated piece of kit, just can’t match the CT for comfort.

I kept and rode my brother's SuperT for about a month, before it sold.... and I just couldn't find any love for it.  I think the VFRX is a far, far better bike.

I would cast a vote for one of these.

I’m liking the look of that, even if it’s a twin. Now if they do a DCT...........

The list of shaft bikes is very small.

    So:

    Although with chain.....
