    Grease, or lack of... 😉

As the weather has been a little bit stormy the last few days I've opted to do a little preventative maintenance on the bike.
This afternoon I got in the garage and stripped the rear suspension to lube the bushes.
Honda must be penny pinching as all the roller bearings in the suspension were as good as dry!
My bike only has 3600 miles and is 6 months old so its not age related.
Bearings packed with grease now and piece of mind knowing they will be fine now.

If you haven't done yours yet it may be worth your time as I bet Honda have skimped with the grease on yours too.

Shoulda shot a how-to video while you were at it.  I'm sure many forum members would have benefitted.

Yes, when I got mine at 6k miles, I noticed a slight play in the linkage bearings. Stripped them down and they were bone dry. I packed them with grease and all was well. I've got the forks off at the moment, I must remember to check and grease the headstock bearings before I put it back together again. I bet they're bone dry too  :789:.

Check the front wheel bearings while you are at it.
