I take it was the radiator problem and not a hose in the end?

Would it not be worthwhile and cheaper to take the radiator to a local radiator repair shop and have it fixed? They can alloy weld and recore it if necessary?

Just a thought, shouldn’t take long. I got one of the mountings alloy welded quickly and relatively cheaply recently.

Thanks Gfc, that’s an excellent idea. I’ve been in touch with a repair shop 20 miles from me. They estimate 40-50 for a resin repair or £400 for a full rebuild ie a new core with warranty. That’s a whole lot cheaper than a new rad!
