I do think the off road ability is somewhat limiting if only due to the weight - but then again I don’t do any off road riding.
I think if Honda had jumped on the issues with the CT at the beginning of its life they would or could have been onto a certain winner.
One thing I do like though is that when I’m out for a ride, irrespective of the distance, I’m not confronted by 100’s of other CT’s unlike the GS.  :164:

Hello pcoz
here in the UK the Crosstourer is On the Honda site as available this year.
Like you I am researching the big girl for a possible next ride. I however am looking for a road bike I probably won't be doing any off-roading so for me it's not an issue. There are a few videos on YouTube which show the CT doing off road work so it will acquit itself off road. As good as a GS? Doubtful but it will do it. If you are wanting serious off roading  I would not even use a GS  but I am now in my fifties, I am not as flexible as strong or as quick as  I was not too long ago. If was going to do off roaring I would go for something lighter and more dedicated. All that being said the father of adventure riding, Ted Simon, goes around the world on a 500 triumph you can off road on anything. I remember some years ago there was a guy who was covered by bike magazine who took a Bennelli  sports bike across the sahara. Go figure. So will the CT go off road? You can be sure it will! Whatever you decide ride free brother.
Lastly welcome
