Am i overthinking re a new CT

I would value your experiences re the CT and having recently bought a used 66 plate, 15k miles bike that I am really enjoying, its got me to thinking whether I should take the plunge and buy a new one, the question is would I be throwing money away. I know they are discontinued which will mean depreciation will be heavy and I know that 15k miles isn't really much for the bike so your views / thoughts would help me make a pro's v cons list to help me decide.

If you pay close to list price I think you'll take a pretty big hit when you go to sell this discontinued motorcycle in a few years. However at the steep discount prices new 2017's are selling for (here at least) I think you'll be fine. If you like your CT I imagine you'll like a 2016+ at least as much if not more since Honda did add a few little upgrades for 2016.

15K is nothing, if you can get a new one at a bargain price it may be an option. If the one you have now is in good shape just clean it up, add some personalized accessories and injoy it for another 150k.

I got one 2017 manual 0km, end of october in Germany for 10000eur! Imported to Croatia it cost me 3400eur, total price 13500! In Croatia thay sell them 2018, 0km, 17400eur!
I love the bike, i do not minde that honda is not going to make them more, it is for me good for longer time, and has everything i need! Hier in Croatia, everybody with money buys BMW1200/1250GS!
My friends have them, and with them lot of issues!
One friend had seal shaft leak, after 10000km, two month after warranty! BMW Cro asked 1200eur for repair😂😂! Another friend with k1600GT takes always botle of oil on few days trip!!! 😥

I’d say if she’s in excellent condition and has already been kitted out with numerous essential farkles I’d keep her and enjoy her.
With the money you’ve saved on not purchasing a new one go and enjoy a few foreign jaunts.  :028:

Was thinking I might put some better suspension on it, then thought for what this would cost and a little more I could get a new bike.
