Hi - Just got the site address for here from the bikers oracle VFR site so thanks to curlynot and Deg5y on there.
I pick up my Crosstourer this Saturday from Wigan Yamaha centre, it s 66 plate Highlander in the Guinness colours of Black, white and gold, its done 15k miles and appears in real nice condition and has great Honda service history, I noticed it has a puig screen, a carbon rear hugger, a radiator guard and a fender extender so no need to spend on these. The tyres are good and are Avon storms which I have used on previous Blackbirds with no issues however the VFR1200 I am trading in currently has PR5s which I really like so may decide to change if the storms don't work on the Crosstourer. I am interested to know if there are any do's, don'ts or must checks on the bike with this mileage, I have browsed YouTube and the VFR forum so know a few traits of the bike but would appreciate any advice
The seat seems to be one area where opinions are split, some say ok, others have swapped for custom makes, again thoughts  and experiences welcome.
Looking forward to posting some pics on Saturday, all for now. Cheers!

Hi there and  :400: along to the colleCTive.
As to your question regards things to look out for on your Highlander. One thing to check is the rear suspension adjuster as they are sometimes prone to seizure when not lubricated regularly.
As you’ve probably already read on the forum many owners have up rated the CT’s suspension.
Apart from that they are almost bulletproof with some owners on the forum reporting well over 100,000 miles without any problems and if I’m not mistaken there’s at least one owner that’s exceeded 250,000 miles.
Sounds like you’ve got yourself a peach of a bike there so here's to many happy miles.  :028:
