Battery condition ( charged, able to hold a charge) and battery terminal check ( clean and tighten) modern bikes do not like inconsistent voltage supply and the symptoms vary widely and can be intermittent.

Agreed.  I was thinking that too but I don't have enough technical knowledge to be of any value on that particular topic...fear of opening a rabbit hole.  I had the same thing happen to me but on a DCT.  It was the battery terminals, on a brand new battery, that were bad and caused the issue.  I was not sure if it would produce the same results on a manual version.

I ride all of my motorcycles every week, there for no battery tenders utilized. I will check battery/terminals and connections tomorrow morning.  Current battery original, battery appears to hold charge, never a jump needed to date.

Both connections (-+) tight and no corrosion present.

Check engine light is not on.  Scheduling trip to the Honda Hospital (stealer) hopefully expense covered under warranty or extended warranty, fingers crossed!

Not yet, hopefully this weekend!  The bike cranks and idles fine.  When upshifting and in between gears the engine cuts out/doesn't maintain revs

I’m curious as to what the Honda tech determined your VFR problem was. Any updates @GA VFR?

Nothing yet, we have had family issues to deal with not allowing me time to tow it to the shop.  I will let you know when we drag it in to MMS.  BTW where is the throttle positioning sensor?  I will try to tap on it or check connections
