    Sat nav holder.

    Hi all,

Bought this sat nav holder which they advertised for the VFR1200X 2012-2016.
    Mine is a 2013 model.

It simple does not fit. The holes don’t line up at all. Has anyone else bought this one?
If so did it fit? The seller doesn’t seem to want to know so very likely £30 wasted!

Not seen this part before. It looks similar to the Engimoto one I have tho it is different. The Ebay listing say the hole centres are 250 mm apart which ive just looked at at mone and seems about right (Didnt remove my screen or mount to check properly.

If you have any pics to show where the difference is we may be able to help,

Not got any pictures as I’ve put the screen back on now. The holes on the bracket are 250mm apart as described in the eBay listing. Where the screen mounts on the bike the holes don’t line up. They can’t be 250mm apart. The holes on the bracket seem to be about 2.5mm - 3mm on the outside of the screen holes.

Looks like mine.  Should fit in the top set of holes on the frame that holds the screen.  Sorry it's not the clearest - bikes's overdue a wash!

    OK.
£30 is not a lot of money for a GPS mount  (though i appreciate this is no consolation) , i think mine was nearly double that.  If youre having no joy with the seller youve nowt to loose, maybe its possible to tweak/adapt the bracket to fit?

    Good luck

    Solved!!!!!
A guy on one of the Facebook groups fitted a similar bracket. From what he said possibly the bracket had been slightly “flattened” in transit. That actually made sense because I could see it was about 2.5-3mm out of alignment. So I’m an impatient kinda person and went out in the cold and rain and took another look. I took the screen back off an aligned the holes as close as they could get. I then give the bracket a “slight” twist/bend and hey presto job done.

Gary, Thanks for sharing those pictures. They confirmed I was on the right track.  :152:

I prefer RAM Mounts.   I use them for both the Sat Nav and the inReach.

I just had this lad delivered by the DHL man a few minutes ago. It looks and feels very substantial, even more so than it does in the pictures.

I'll have it on the bike in the next couple of days.......and report back. I can finally get my TomTom off the handle bars start usig my Givi tankbag again!!
