    2016 Crosser

I am very much dipping my toe in the water, My Crosstourer is up in mid Nov on a pcp deal,The balance is about £8400 it is full Highlander spec with a choice of high/low seat likewise screen It has done 6400 miles and its a peach. I am now near 70 years old and had a Heart attack which has changed my life a lot, I do not want to pack up biking,I started in 1962 and it's been a ball, But I think like it or not I have to look at a lighter bike or better balanced. So if any one is interested in it I would like it to go to a biker not a dealer. It has extra's on it which I can leave on for a small extra sum. I have also a top sellair with gel pads normal height which is unused as I bought it in error, I wanted a low seat. Cheers Owen.

Had a letter from  Honda today the settlement is now £6,500.00 so add a couple hundred for the extra's and that I see as a bargain, But it goes back weds/Thursday this week. Cheers Owen.

I knew you had been ill from your past posts so I am glad at least you can still ride mate. With regard to your post I can fully understand you want to sell your bike to another biker and you may well be aware of contractual position. However if you are not aware the following is the legal position.

You cannot sell your bike until you have paid off the finance company because you are not the owner of the bike only the keeper. Notwithstanding that it is you, the legal advice to anyone thinking of buying the bike would be not to do so. Your bike will most certainly have some negative equity in the amount of £8400. Settling the debt yourself would be the best way to achieve your aim. Your other recourse is to part exchange your bike with a dealer who will then settle the outstanding amount and you will then enter into a new finance agreement. If somebody however pays you the indicated sum you would then have the money and the bike because no sale must have occurred. You would then pay the outstanding amount and when that has been completed you could then transfer ownership of the bike to the new owner. All the best and I hope you get the bike you are after.

Sorry to hear about your health problems Owen and trust you are well on the way to full fitness again. Being the same age as you I am also  thinking about down sizing a bit. Great bike but it needs to loose a few pounds. Having said that I have been thinking of trying a different seat for a while. What colour is the seat and how much are you asking for it.

Thanks for your kind post Yasko,Yes I understand your post, I fully intended to settle the Crosser, I bought it in Nov/16 marching in with a b/case of cash less my Varadero p/ex ,But I was offered a 0% pcp deal and a second £1000 discount via Honda, This I took and then put my cash into premium bonds( Won sod all) But able to regain my cash to purchase/settle the Crosser, But in the middle of all that my heart attack happened, despite of saying it will not alter things, It has, Hence the course I am taking. If any one is interested in the bike it will be settled up with Honda finance prior to the new owner taking it on with receipt shown. Cheers Owen.

Hello Hoppicker, It is a Topsellaire normal height seat in Black with gel pads fitted, I have used it once, so as brand new I would like £280 for it with secure postage and packing to a uk address, Hope this is of interest to you, If you are nearish to Shropshireland you are welcome to try it out, They are expensive seats new but having tried it really is a quality seat (My varadero seats over the fifteen years I ran them, I used to use a guy to custom make my seats, They where good, But Topsellaire tops them. Cheers Owen.
