H7 LED headlight dust cap venting.

I installed a cyclops H7 LED headlight bulb in my high beam. It is similar to the R1200GS install. The light spread and throw are amazing, but being an LED it needs cooling. I drilled a 3/4 inch hole in the center of my HB dust cap and screened it off with SS mesh screen. The BMW guys don't seem to have any issues with dust or moisture collecting in the housing. I am rethinking the venting since its high beam and used infrequently, I may not need it. Does anyone run LEDs and vent their caps, if so have you experienced dust and moisture in the housing? The sealed V Strom housings seem to be managing ok with the caps removed but the CT is a different animal, anyone?

I have LED medium and high beams installed for over 3 years with that hole in the cover and, so far  :020:, everything goes well; no issues, what so ever.
