Bike starts and dies off immediately

Good day people, this is my first post and I'm not sure anyone of you have experienced this before.

    I'm riding a 2015 Honda Crosstourer VFR1200X, non-DCT model.

I have observed that after my bike gets thoroughly wet, I will experience this issue the next day. I will turn on the key, all lights come on, I start the bike, it starts but almost immediately dies down. Then the "check engine" light and the "throttle control" light turns on.

So how I solve this issue immediately is to start the bike and hold on to my throttle for a while. When I don't pump extra gas, it will die. So I hold on to the throttle for about 3-5 minutes, then I turn off the bike. And then I turn it on again and start it up, and it runs as usual.

So basically, I think some form of sensor is wet here. And as soon as the bike heats up, this issue stops. But then again, I thought maybe the riding would have "evaporated' the moisture but if my bike was stuck under a heavy downpour, I can experience this at 3pm one day and also at 7am the next day.

Has anyone experienced this before? I am sure it is a very simple fix and I really want to fix this issue. Thank you so much for your time and patience in reading my post. :)

    Regards

    Hi!
Instead of blindly guessing I suggest to read check engine errors and post them here.

Mines into dealers for diagnosis, its still just in warranty, will advise on outcome.

Came back from dealers after having fault codes cleared and a roadtest with no faults showing.
I have done around 50 miles and its been ok, i couldnt get much more information out of the dealer than the statement above.

These 2 days, it happened twice in a row. The problem is, there is no error code whatsoever. It just dies, I try to start again, it dies again. When I hold the throttle to keep the engine running, the check engine light and throttle control light shows up. After heating up the bike, I switch off and on the bike again, it runs like normal.

In my previous ST1300, had this same issue and it was simply an auto-choke issue. Replacing it solved the issue. So is crosstourer fitted with an autochoke?
