What did you do to "farkle" your Crosstourer today ?
« on: October 12, 2012, 01:00:15 PM »
Tell us what you've done to "farkle" your bike today !

If you've just added some new parts then briefly tell us here.

Feel free to post some pics as well.   :152:

Please note that issues around maintenance and tellings us where you been do not go in this topic.

Also, if you've done some major work then consider starting a dedicated topic in the appropriate section.

What does "farkle" mean...

It is an acronym:

F.ancy
A.ccessory
R.eally
K.ool &
L.ikely
E.xpensive

Yesterday, I opened the box the postman brought containing an MRA X screen and thought "I must make time to fit that".

After getting new CT last Saturday, we took the opportunity of some reasonably dry weather (although very wet roads), and rode from Ayrshire to St.Andrews, via Kincardine Bridge. Had lunch in St.Andrews, then travelled down the Fife coast, stopping at the "secret bunker". Had a meal in Lower Largo before travelling back via Forth Bridge. Total miles today, 250mls, I need to get another 150 to reach my first service before salt hits the road in this area. Big smile on my face all day though, and bike now needs a severe clean!

I picked my bike up from having an exhaust made for it (i lent them the bike to make a jig for production of others)

I paid a bit extra for a welded bracket rather than a strap to the rear footrest hanger

Baffle in ....
