Top Box plate problems
« on: July 14, 2019, 01:45:33 PM »
Another issue - and there is nothing wrong with my Nuts!

I noticed that the top box was moving more than normal.  Taking the plastic plugs off I could see that the two mounts nearest the (non-existant) pillion had pulled through.  It may have been over-tightened.  I'm going to try and get and get proper Honda replacements but otherwise its nylon washers and a steel penny washers.

Anyone else seen this?

John

a bit difficult to see, but it seems like it is wrongly mounted/some parts missing.
I have the mounting manual at home, will upload this tonight.
Hope you can find new spare parts, knowing Honda they will only sell a complete new base  :006:

Thanks for the diagram. The bike went in for tyres and the Honda dealer fixed it for free. Original parts now not available so I'll see what they've done when I pick it up tomorrow.
