I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with products like the Helite or similar.  I have not seen one in person.  Not that the heat is necessarily a concern when considering products like this, but any warm weather experiences to share?

MZFlorida, I own the HitAir vest.  This requires a lanyard to the bike.  I deployed it twice on plop and drops over two years.   I have not ridden it since I bought this CT.

    Worth the $500?  Yes... maybe....

Why dont I ride it now? Lazy i suppose is the best answer.  I never transferred the lanyard. I have gone wireless on comms and now dislike the menial task of connecting to the bike.

Heat was not a problem but it does weigh a bit which is another detractor.

It did keep the helmet contained during my tips and cushioned the body well.

That's all good to hear.  Most of the reports that I am reading are positive.  It kind of seems like a no brainer.  I guess a few new products are going to launch this year.  Might pull the trigger.  thanks for the report.

So I am not saying that this will necessarily become mainstream but you have to admit it is ingenious!  I saw something like this years ago but was an entire suit that inflated to a massive ball.  Anyhow, interesting if nothing else.

Hi, I have a helite airbag jacket, I live in Ireland so I can't comment on heat issues. There is plenty of vents you can open to let air through but that won't help much when you are stationary in a war climate.  I do really like it. When I have my bike in for a service I can't attach it to the loan bike, and I have to say I feel vulnerable. Don't see myself not having one in the future.
You could consider one of the vests, then you could control what you wear underneath. I went for the jacket as I needed a new one and it wasn't much more expensive than the vest.

I use a Point Two, no problems with ventilation.

Thank you for the responses!  I really wish that they had these in stock at our local shops so that they can be test fitted.
