Hi all, new member here from Fareham in Hampshire.  :031: :001:

Currently I have a NT700VA and can't wait to throw a leg over a VFR1200X (soon I hope); although a little concerned I may not be tall enough(5ft10) to reach the floor. Any thoughts on this and recommends to lower seat/links if poss?

:400: and safe riding Rinsewind  :305: You will need your feet flat on the floor with some bend in the legs to safely cope with the weight of the CT. If you fall short of that there is a lower seat (about 20mm) or/also  lower the bike with the lowering kit (about20mm) and then lower the front by 10mm. The side and centre stand should also be shorten to accommodate the changes if using the lowering kit. This what my dealer has done to several CT's.

    I’m 5’ 11” in old money.
Owned about 5-6 different Honda seats.

Currently using a Tall Touratech Seat. I can just about flat foot the bike with rear suspension on about medium. No luggage and no passenger.

At 5’10” you shouldn’t have any problems with the standard Honda Seat.

However, if you feel better with a low seat. I have one in the sales section.

I'm 5'10" with 29" inside leg and I manage fine. Just done 1300 miles in Scottish highlands, full luggage, no problems. Just test ride one, you'll be fine.
