because it doesnt make any sense.
the bike is designed to run on 95octane which is what i use, maybe it may run a bit better with 97 but it still should not knock very loudly using 95.
the aprilia has a high compression also and wouldnt knock at all.
this is not a faint tap sound, its a loud knock like a big end is gone.
its going back to the honda dealership and im going back to a s1000xr.
thank you to the people who have tried to help.

Sorry your CT experience has fallen short, would appear you were unfortunate enough to end up with a “bad”bike.

Hope you have more luck with the BM.

I have just been to a motorbike mechanics shop and he went for a good long test ride and said the bike is mechanically perfect, he says the noise I am hearing is airbox roar.
So I'm pleased at that !
Strange low loud it is though and that I've never heard air box roar on any of my other bikes.

Greetings to the Group. to start apologize for my level of English, or better, that of the google translator. My 2019 motorcycle does exactly the same between 3000 and 4000 rpm, it's not a pleasant noise, but my mechanic says it's normal, the airbox. It is only annoying with the helmet open, when I close the screen, you hear much less.
