    Rear brake fail

My DCT (from a dealer at the beginning of February this year so still under dealers warranty) has developed an alarming issue in that the rear brake has stopped functioning. Front’s fine so I’m thinking that maybe there’s some air in a pipe (plenty of fluid, I checked). I can’t tell if the linked braking is working but the rear pedal isn’t.

Given that the dealer replaced the fluid before I bought it is this a warranty issue?
And given that a brake has failed, should they be collecting it?
Not looking for folks to agree with me, just want to know what’s right.

Be careful, if you say that they have changed the brake fluid, they had to be very careful and follow the instructions of a combined braking system, it is not easy, I know from experience in a Honda Varadero.

Murph, when you say 'failed' do you mean the pedal 'went to the floor' or that it was rock-solid without any braking effect?

Push as hard as I like, pedal moves as expected, no braking!

Warranty issue Murphy. As for collection or riding let them collect it  is a safety fault an also a road traffic offence.

Why specify that yours is a DCT model?  Are you implying that the auto trans might in some way be to blame?   :086:
