    Hot dct gearbox

I've noticed that the clutch cover on my 2015 model dct gearbox gets very hot during a run. I ride in Sport mode all the time and the box functions normally. I have a 2k mile trip coming up and I'm just a little concerned. Anyone else noticed it? Should I have it checked out?

Just love my HONDA Crosstourer dct, and my manual TDM900.

Mine is a 2016 and I'm not sure how you define hot.  I have commuted in stop and go traffic at 40C without issues to date.

Did a road trip through the desert loaded like a mule in the mid 30C's.

Very hot to the touch, so much that I cannot hold my hand on the casing.

How is your oil level? (although a Honda never uses a drip of oil)
But it is the same oil as the engine so the whole engine will have the same temperature :084:

I wouldn't consider it an issue myself.  There's not bloody much of my bike I can touch here on a hot day, before I start it..  I certainly can't hold my hand anything on the engine after a ride.  Maybe 1 or 2 of the plastic covers.

     :0461:

I've just put my BBQ meat thermometer into my hot bike  :001:
    ~90°C or 194°F

Dont know if it really touched the hot oil, the tip was a bit greasy though.

It's supposed to be hot. Remember it has hot engine oil circulating through it.
