    Hi everyone,

Found the crosstourer.com website while looking for some information on the new (to me) bike I am planning on buying. Thanks to @Bus for the picture packed run through of the Heed bar guards  :460:

So, almost at the point of owning a 2012 VFR1200X (red) which I'll insert a picture off if I can figure that out.

I've been riding a Honda XL1000V (Varadero) for the last 13 years and in that time have been on a couple of tours of Europe but done most of my miles around Scotland, Yorkshire and Northumberland as I'm based in Newcastle upon Tyne.

We'll, nothing else more to say at this point other than, thanks for having me.
    Jack  :305:

    Hello Jack,

    Welcome !!   :400:

I too came from the XL1000V, a great bike. One word of warning, be prepared for the relative lack of engine braking on the CT, you will almost certainly find yourself rolling into corners a little faster than you are expecting to  :005:

Have fun and stay safe.    :152:

    Thanks for the advice.

It will be interesting to see how the v4 compares to the character of the v-twin.

Hi Jack, I've come from the direction of ST1100. Had my manual CT about a month now. Very very impressed with it. Its much easier and lighter to move about on the drive for a start! I have read it being described as a Pan with sexier clothes on and a touch of off road ability. Thats pretty accurate IMO.. Very very confidence inspiring. Hope you try yours and buy it m8.

    Well hello Jack,
I was 'dragged' up in Maske-by-the-sea,  not that far south of you. Enjoy the ride. I've literally just nipped down the shops, opened it up on the one strait to the garage I was going to and FFS, what an engine, love it.
    Enjoy.
