    Hi all,
My name is Joe and I am from Newcastle upon Tyne area, I have just bought the Cross_tourer Highlander 2014, I pick it up on Tues 26 March.
Open to any hints/advice as I've never ridden such a big bike, traded in my 650 Bandit for it.

Welcome and congratulations!  Coming from a much lighter bike also, I would definitely recommend a little bit of parking lot time performing decreasing radius circles and u-turns at low speed, both directions.  With its weight, it is much less forgiving than my previous, lighter, bikes in slow speed maneuvers.  I dropped mine at low speed twice in the first two weeks.  Went to the parking lot and problem solved...hopefully.  I was able to slow the descent on both occasions to avoid any damage.  Still frustrating.  At speed, it is surprisingly agile and for the most part, very well planted.
