    no rain is my name

Greetings, crossturds.  From the time that Honda brought the VFRX to the US, I had thought that I would eventually buy one a couple years old.  But then, due to slow sales, dealers started discounting new ones heavily, and I could not refuse.  My new bike now sits at the dealership in another state getting partly farkled.  Shortly I will ship it to me and complete the farklefest.  I have been riding for around 25 years, but not continuously.  I have owned bikes of all four Japan makes and BMW.  I currently own and ride a rare 1983 Honda GL650 Silverwing Interstate.  I live at 9,000' altitude in the Colorado Rocky Mountains.  Two miles of dirt roads lead to my house, and other than that I have little interest in riding dirt.  I enjoy skiing in winter, and hiking in summer.  Whenever I decide to get my knees replaced, I will resume self-propelled mountain biking as well.  I am married with kids, most of them grown.  My profession is engineering, and I am starting to think of retiring.  I fully intend for the VFRX to be my final bike purchase.

Congratulations on the new bike and welcome to the forum!  What year did you purchase and is it manual or the DCT?  I have the DCT and really appreciate more than I would have ever imagined.

2017 DCT.  I should have mentioned that, huh?
