Iam replacing the rear shock with Wilbers 640 and new springs and non Honda
Oil which is SAE 5 as used in Germany racing I paid £812 pounds for shock and springs
and two ltrs oil I was not convinced that one ltr would be plenty and post added  from  REV’s in Birmingham you can get REV’s to fit them to your bike I just live to far a way.

By the time they finished working on the CT  it was to late for a longer ride my througths on the new set up on my front forks adjuster I ask REV’s what they recommend I was told to use three rings showing and 8 clicks from stops it feels about right for riding solo with boxes and my weight about 94 klos
The front forks I decided at the beginning I would change replace all that was needed as I was having all this work being carried on the forks out this is the list of parts.
    Ring back up x2 = £16.32
    Bush guide.   X2 = £16.25
    Bush slider.    X2=  £18.64
    Seal set fork.  X2 = £40.68
    10mm copper washer £ 2.10
This includes vat the labour charge came to £390 pounds I think that covers 6 hours
On this short ride home about 12 miles driving in to wards Croydon in normal traffic the mount of dive on the forks felt like only about 3rd or less comparing befor the change with the 130 mil air gap the return from the braking dive felt it came back quickly from the dive  on the oil I did buy two ltrs of oil they used just over one ltr and so if Some one other than REV’s carrying out the work then buy two ltrs
The shock is made to your weight But please take not the shock is longer than Honda I am only have 29 1/2 leg and with a Honda lower seat so this means I only have half foot on the ground both sides  so I am pleased with the result .

The "no dive" front sounds like a great result, Firefox. Is the ride comfy?

Hi Friday. On such a short ride and the roads ok so its comfy on the forks under breaking at 20-30 mph the forks did not move much it felt a lot less than Honda suspension if the weather holds plan a 80-100 miles around box hill Guildford where the roads are twisty and bumpy and a few stops on the brakes at high speeds in between 60-70 mph to see how far and Quicky they return .
