« on: January 11, 2019, 10:52:00 PM »

After a long chat with my local Honda Dearler about oil in the forks they where very instistant I use Honda oil as the forks take over a 1 ltr of oil the price difference is £7.00 pounds different and there seems very little information on Honda oil so can any one inligting us on the difference between Honda and REVs oil as I will need to order some more oil no wish to use to different oils.

I guess this is always a possibility in this situation, using a Rev/Wilbers product that’s being fitted by a Honda dealership.

My gut feeling is that Revs or similar buisiness’ are suspension specialists and whilst I don’t know this Honda dealer you don’t know what real experience in this area the technician has.
It could be that he/she is purely sticking to what it says in a Honda Workshop manual which in fairness is the correct thing to do if you’re in doubt.

Like most of us, I’ve come across some incredibly professional and knowledgable techs, I’ve also experienced some that should be banned from ever picking up a spanner.

I appreciate that it’s a way for you to travel but I think it maybe be worth it for your peace of mind to have all the work carried out by Revs.
