Do The OEM Heated Grips Alter Hand Position?

Do the OEM heated grips change your hand position on the DCT VFR?

I was thinking about getting them installed, but not if it pushes my hand away from the paddle shifters.

Has anyone had their bike both ways to know the difference?

My CT DCT had Honda heated grips, I had no problems using the controls.
I said had the grips, removed them and fitted Oxford this weekend. There’s lots on here about how poor the OEM grips are. I’d suggest saving your money and get after market. Honda ones have a really neat setup but below 10 degrees ( 50 in American) they’re useless.

Which model of Oxford fits the best on the VFR1200X?

I fitted the advanced touring ones, about 1-2 mm longer than standard, fit a treat.

Only when you take them off the grips to rub them together trying to get them warm lol! :008:

The Honda setup is neat and not intrusive so no problems getting to the paddles.
However, as many have said they are not the warmest in the world; the 3 position being marginally better than the 5 position it seems.
Oxford are reliably hot but the controller is not so neatly integrated … but if warm pinkies is your aim, then I have to agree with Hartley.

I agree about the Oxford controller, I’ve never been a fan of it, I made up a bracket to attempt to make it look a little more integrated but there’s only so much you can do.

im considering blacking out the "Oxford" and some of the other text to make it less "in yer face"

    Hello folks,

Speaking of "in yer face", does anyone else find the standard heated grip green light really intrusive when riding at night, or is it just my poor old eyeballs  :012: that don't like it ??

    Bye for now.

    Wack
