    Sellerie seat

    Hi
Took my Crosstourer out for its first longish run but after approx 60 mins the bum started to grumble which very quickly turned into a full blown scream 😩😩. Having bought the bike for long tours, I don’t really want to be stopping for bum rest every hour. I e been looking at the Sellerie gel seats and although they look lovely, are they value for money or are there better aftermarket seats available ??? Thanks for reading 👍🏻

    Hi Tafty
If you try the search facility you’ll see there are many posts relating to after market seats.
Like you, much more than an hour on the standard seat becomes painful, I did find the low seat a big improvement ( I think the foam maybe firmer which helps. )

I eventually bought a Touratech seat which is a not perfect but a lot better.

Great thanks for the info. Didn’t really want a lower seat but I’ll have look round. Thanks again

I didn’t need the low seat, I bought it with a view to getting it modified. When I tried it I realised how much better it was.

Same here, did a bikesafe day with the police yesterday and did about 120 miles all over Northamptonshire and felt a bit   :192: to say the least. I'm definately going to change the saddle, most likely for a Top Sellerie as they do a good range of modifications and look pretty cool. I saw last night on their website that they are doing 10% off during August as well.

I tried loads of different seats but ended up with a Top Sellerie one with a gel pad and a 1" longer riders part of the seat

Different ones suit different people, so worth sitting on a few different ones if you can

    Cheers

    Jon

I swapped the original seat, for this one, off a CT on a dealers floor in Germany. I’m still trying to find out who manufactured it. Very happy with the seat. Wifey and I are feeling no pain until about 6 hours riding. Happy with that.
