The difference between trail and the road version...other than the sizes is - the trail version has a different make up of the compounds on the centre and on the sides, it has medium in the centre 20% and soft on the sides.
The road version has hard in the centre 20% and medium on the sides, maybe for higher power sports bikes to make them last a little longer.

You are welcome Maritimer.
Just so you are aware also.... The rear 150/70/17 "Trail" version is speed rated 69V.
You can also get a rear "road" version in 150/70/17 with a higher speed rating of 69W. It will be more expensive.

The front 110/80/19 59V IS ONLY available in "Trail" version.

Thanks, it's snow weather here for the next 6 months but I'll need to replace the rear and possibly the front early in the next riding season.

Thanks very much for that info! That is exactly what I was looking for. I think I will do a combination of road on the back and trail on the front to maximize tire longevity.
