    Givi tankbag strap

I've just purchased a new Givi XS307 tank lock tank bag which has a strap attached which I'm puzzled as to its use as nothing is mentioned within the instructions.
I initially thought it may be the shoulder strap but this is included within the bag.
The only thing I can think of it being used for is to attach around the head stock.
I've attached a photo of the strap mentioned.
Can someone who has experience with the Givi tank lock tank bag system please help to confirm as to its use.
    Many thanks.

    google is your friend

It's certainly not a shoulder strap as that is supplied in its own plastic bag within the tank bag.

If it does turn out to be a head stock strap then it'll be cut off as done by Gary.  :028:

Headstock strap definitely not required.  Only downside of the tankbag is that full lock to the left means the horn switch is pressed by the side pocket.
