Does anybody find the CrossTourer a bit surgy on a steady throttle?

    Hi All

Does anybody find the CrossTourer a bit awkward on a neutral throttle?  I am sensing what I'd describe as a slight surging sensation when trying to maintain a steady speed.  I'm unfamiliar with shaft driven bikes, could it be a characteristic?

I've checked / adjusted throttle free-play in case that was contributing.  Bike does it with standard 'zorst and aftermarket.  It's covered 1000 miles

Not a massive problem, maybe I need to get used to it

Any thoughts welcome.  Aside from this the bike's great..................S

I havent really noticed that at above 20 mph, but it does happen at lower speeds.

Mines a manual, but throttle does seem very sensitive which ive got use.

Yes - manual here after three DCT's - the throttle is very sensitive isn't it.  It feels like the fuelling could be the cause.  I am noticing it at speeds up to 60mph

Seems strange that on a tourer I can't chill out and just cruise at a set speed, it either wants be gassed or on the over run.  I'll chuck a throttle lock at it and that will reveal if it's the bike or my wrist

I found it can be awkward at times when you go over a bump and it has a little surge, oooppps, it does get your attention again.

I do love the bike though.  :028:

Agree with Pistnbroke, I feel exactly the same sensation on bumpy roads but on good A roads its ok.

:0461: I’ve found the same issue with surging when hitting bumps and the like.
Can sometimes be a little un-nerving but as with pistnbroke still love everything else about the CT.  :028:

You will get used to it. Lighter grip on the throttle probably.

Bike looks v.smart. My favourite paint job.
