Landing in Santander in late May. There for 6 days. Love mountains and scenic routes. Suggestions please.

There is a Varadero and Cross runner/African Twin rally at Andorra  about that time, see the Vara International site for info if interested.

Picos d' Europa. Oh yes!  Mountains: Jaggy. Routes: Some of the best in Europe. :305:

Easily do 6 days there. I liked Potes. Staying in Cangis de Onis for 4 nights this year.

Be 1st in the queue for the cable car up Fuente De.

I have had big hail and 100F on different occasions.

Its also empty compared to Pyrenees/Alps.

    Happy travels!

I would recommend Potes. Pretty for just walking around, and spoilt for all the excellent roads (in any direction, the N621 is truly special.) plenty of accom and places to eat and drink. Not too far if you are coming off the ferry in the evening.

We stayed at http://lasernahostal.blogspot.co.uk/ as we happened upon it. Got the seal of approval from the missus, small bar/ big pizza oven down stairs, tables and chairs outside for the sun. Cheap and clean.

Link to some photos of a bit of the area on here:
