Would be interesting to hear what your best single day ride has been. Have a think. ( Thanks Hartley).

Oddly enough, one of the nicest days on the bike was heading north out of Cairns and through the Daintree to camp at "The Lions Den" pub. A fantastic selection of good tarmac, sweeping bends, nice dirt trails, several river crossings and spectacular views. It was our first day on our Cape York trip last year. :028:

From home to Applecross and return, a round trip of over 400 miles with my son and brother. Great roads, veiws, weather and company. A late lunch at the Applecross Inn was worth the trip.

I've posted this vid before so appologies if you've seen it already.  Other days have come close, but I really enjoyed this one.

I still have the video footage.  I'll have to put together another thing on youtube.

Best Single Day Ride...on the CT...?

    October 3rd 2015!  :001:

In perfect weather, set off early arrived back late.

Miltary road (A 817) over from Loch Lomond onto the Rollercoaster road (A 814) to Arrochar. Round to Inveraray, through the arch up and over to Dalmally.

Connel (Bridge/ Falls Of Lora) round the Kinlochleven Loop (B 863) as it should be the law for any biker, instead of taking the short cut across the bridge...dull dull dull.

More north to Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge, back down and through Glencoe to the Green Welly well after dinner time. Meet a (fast) mate I have not seen in donkeys and have the A82 to ourselves, going proper naughty, right down to the city.

    Falls of Lora

    The Pap of Glencoe

    Kinlochleven

    Ben Nevis

    Commando Memorial, Spean Bridge

    Glencoe

    Rannoch Moor, A82
