The Crosstourer is right, its everybody else thats wrong !!!

Is is just me getting old and cranky - or are we more and more being told by others whats wrong and whats right ( In their opinion of course  :008: ) but seems to me the more you like something , the more others will tell you you are wrong , Take the CT , if you want a 1200 cc V4 with shaft drive ,  in an adventure style ( not tourer as in ST1300)  then  the CT is your only choice not Triumph or BMW  or Ducati . Now having made your choice because it suits your motorcycling needs , we are told its too heavy , its not got enough tech , the susspension is not electronic , the fairing is rubbish .
Its only when you are told  well  a H2R  is a great bike ( try carrying your shopping on that !!!) or a Triumph Bobber  ( room for the misses ??)  or even a Ducati Panigale 1299  you realize  what the problem with the CT is - its not extreme , well let me solve it - Next years CT will have a turbo fitted as standard  250 hp  at 8000 rpm , Honda will be able to charge £25k  each and they will fly out of the showroom
very impractical  but who cares  :008:

Brilliant HEN99, brilliant and absolutely spot on.  :047:
It seems to be the motorcycle press that wants to dictate what "our needs" should be which is why the CT apparently suffers at the hands of the hacks, as you rightly say HEN99, just not extreme enough.
Only today I received my latest copy of Motorcycle Sport & Leisure to find that I'm being told that the KTM Super Duke should "rule them all" - but I do not have a degree in either computer science or programming to help aid me in suspension settings or 'rider modes' - what ever the hell that means or should that be 'moods'  :164: followed by countless pages extolling the dubious virtues of battery powered bikes - god forbid - and that we WILL all be riding them in the future - I'll be dragged to hell in a hand cart before that happens.
Ah well, rant over,  :232: now where did I put my SAGA mag.....!  :164:

When i find my glasses  and stick all i can say is, its your money and you spend it on what ever you want, i wouldnt listen to a ride journo who is paid by bmw and ducati it seems to right good reports about the best bike on the market, any way i dont care cos its my money and i bought a CT and all the others are so jealous that they bought an inferior bike.
So Yes, i agree with you HEN99.
    Spot on.

    Rant over.  :028:

No bike can ever be the best because everybody is actually different, and those who don't understand that need to be told what bike to buy. Bask in the righteous superiority that only a Crosstourer owner can truly enjoy. :018:
