I liked my Versys a lot but it just feels cheap and plasticy compared to the CT. I look after my bikes - wash wax, acf50 etc. But the Versys started going rusty with 6 months of owning it from new.

My wife says its comfier for her as a pillion.  The only downside about the CT is that its heavier. BUT! I like that its a big heavy bike, it's more planted at high speeds.

Is it actually physically bigger the Versys 1000 as it looks slightly smaller in pictures. I know it weight a lot more.

i took one out for a test ride b4 i got the vfr...hated everything about it. screen is an after thought, very noisy and caused lots of head shakes. didnt like the engine braking either, or lack of it  :110: :151:

No it's not much bigger. I think the V4 is just a heavier more powerful engine than the Versys, hence the weight difference.

I forgot about the buffeting and the vibrations I got from the Versys. It was an actual nightmare. It vibrated so much mt right hand mirror just fell off. Kawasaki wouldnt replace it under warranty because I couldnt prove I didnt drop it.

The Honda is just smoother, more powerful and more refined.

i considered the Kawasaki, but as Superjeap said, chain or shaft, shaft drive any day, no more chain lubing.   :028:
