What's the most comfortable seat for a CT?

I suspect that this has been discussed before, but I can't seem to find a good thread, so apologies if it's a repeat.

I've had my CT for 2 months now and love it!  The only thing I don't like is the seat.  I just find it uncomfortable on anything longer than a 1 hour ride.  I know it's all down to personal taste as we all have different shaped butts, but if there consensus on the most comfy seat to replace the standard one?

    Cheers,
    Dom.

Me too, 1 hour max then me A--e is knackered, also get even worse pain just below the shoulder blades which slowly becomes very, very painful, I've tried stopping every 20-30 miles and flexing me back all to no avail, I'm just too old for this game I think.

I bought a touratech last year an it's fantastic have ridden the Picos,Pyrenees and Corsica with no discomfort.
They come in three heights, standard, low and high.
I'm 6'4" so the high is ideal for me, can't sing it praises enough.

A gel pad or cycling shorts might help, the latter worth trying first (cheaper). A correct and relaxed posture will take the weight off the base of the spine (Coccyx). But as mondeoman said if its age related (like me) there is only so much you can do.

Had my CT since November last year and I didn't like the Honda seat from the outset. It was like sitting on a wooden bench - numbness within 30 minutes.

I appreciate that any choice of replacement is personal and depends on things like your build, shape, weight, natural padding etc. I am 6 foot and quite bony/slim. I've fitted a Touratech (standard height) and am pleased with it. It wasn't cheap but it simply replaced the existing seat. The only work required was to take off the rubber gromits/mounts off the old seat and fix to the new one. I now can and have done a few journeys over 2 hours non-stop. Any subsequent discomfort is down to my age rather than the seat - think I might try some gel pants. I haven't tried any others so can't give a comparison.

    Agreed, touratech is comfortable, BUT
also quite slippery. I keep having to slide towards the back end of the seat. Now - I understand different materials are available. I have the breathable one I believe (bought second hand).
I have DIY'd a rubber belt across it so it would keep my a@# in place but that did not quite work out....

You may he happier, like others on here seem to be though...

I don't know which one I have the texture on it is not smooth, in fact it's a bit like shell grip you never move.
On the tourteck site it gives the details of the seat covering but if in dought give them a bell
