Interesting, but not surprising. More interesting is Dealer News, it's got more info than many motorbike mags out there.
Honda C50, MZ250TS, Greeves 250, BMW F800GS, Honda CT Highlander

I do admire the way BMW just recalls, not like Honda at all.
At least they do something about a problem immediately, how long did we wait to get the shaft recall, i know i waited long enough, almost a year.
    All credit to BMW.
keep it shiny side up !!!

I've seen dozen GS's with detached front wheel - good, they finally admitted that there'e a problem.

It's not something new - BMW has been ignoring this problem for years.

If this is not a sarcastic post, then you should be glad you did not have a BM with a shaft drive problem! :008:

Nip onto ukgser or talk to any shooglie wheeled GS/RT/K owners.  :003:

I spoke to another on Saturday, now an exGS owner after fed up off 3 shaft fails, clutch and brake probs and extended warranties.

I had never heard of extended warranties until I started l looking into owning (not renting as the majority probably now are) a GS.
