    Hi All.
Is it just me that thinks that MCN and the rest of the UK press have it in for CT besides another adventure test still no CT then just to rub it in their PCP 24 page pull out article and still no sign of the CT again and it's not the first time this year that the CT has not made the line up in a PCP article does anyone else think It has it cards marked by Honda UK and Honda dealer's and all the UK press they must just hope it just disrepair or is it the same in other markets of the world .

    Regards

    Fire fox.

    Hey Firefox,

I agree, the media coverage of such a fabulous machine is sparse to say the least! But as Andrew said, i don't really follow the heard and when i found the CT i loved it.
So the less popular it is with the noodle set, the less desirable it is to the more sticky fingered of them. GS's i hear are like catnip to thieves.

:0461: with all the above. As for Honda and Honda UK's attitude towards the CT it appears to be, post launch of the model, mediocre at least. One thing we can all be sure of is that there is corruption to a greater or lesser degree in all walks of life. How much there is in motorcycle journalism is anybody's guess. Over the last few years the VFR1200f/x have both become according to journalists, 'excellent cheap second hand bikes, undervalued, hidden secret of the biking world, good secondhand buy's, reliable, etc, etc,' We, the private owners of motorcycles normally with long term ownership in all types of riding conditions are in my opinion, better placed to comment on their model of motorcycle. We do not get paid nor are we offered free bikes to test when they are new, are not answerable to editors or manufacturers after testing a new bike for our own personal use. It is natural to want to read an article on your model motorcycle with a favourable bias and the absence of any such article favourable or otherwise, will not alter our own views. We have had many new members over the years who have read our forum and contents before purchasing a CT, I myself was one. Professional motorcycle journalist's in my humble opinion take a back seat to a good motorcycle forum. I confess I still read the'comics' for the articles of interest to me, despite the plagiarism often found in motorcycle tests.

James Whitam said in an interview that the last bike he would ride would be a DCT Honda, always rated him but i wonder if he actually rides on the road and tours like a few of us old giffers. Or does he do Cafe and home again

I always chuckle when I pick up a copy of "Ride" - they can't manage more than half a page without banging-on about the GS!  :008:
