    DCT software upgrades

OK chaps, does anyone know if it's possible to upgrade the DCT software ?, for example my X/tourer is 2013 reg' and is apparently version 2, so could it be upped to version 3 ?, I am aware that the latest X/Ts supposedly have lean and pitch sensors so that the software knows if you're in a bend, going uphill/downhill and will adapt gearchanges accordingly.
Any ideas anyone, I have'nt asked a dealer yet and the Honda w/site is useless for this level of query.  :027:

If you find an answer (either through here or via a dealer) I would be interested to know myself - you can remap most other ecu's so I can't think why this would not be possible.

    Intresting question Mondeoman,

I take it the dealers "Honda" don't inform you, like with a car? I'm due a dealer service in couple hundred miles. if you haven't found out by then i'll ask the engineer.

    From a past post,

No, but you still can optimize your current program.

This was done to a mate's 2013 CT with similar symptoms successfully.

Sorry for slight hijack, but a related question:  when was version 3 introduced; which model year?

Definately 2015 onwards, possibly sometime in 2014. I would really like to try a 2015 onward to see if I can discern the diff' from my 2013, I've just test ridden a brand new 2017 Africa Twin and there are certainly some differences from my X/T, some plus, some not, but does the A/T have the same software as the X/T , Gawd knows !
Here's hoping I can sometime try a recent X/T, maybe someone who's had an older and recent X/T can spell out the differences.

    I had a 2013 DCT for a year and I've now got a 2015 that I've had since new.
    No difference at all  :062:
It does now have the 3 step torque control instead of just traction control ON or OFF,  but this doesn't change the riding experience at all.

Wow - must be getting a bit older - can't remember posting this  :008:

What program is available to optimize then?

    Cheers.
