    Hello from Canada

Hi all, I reluctantly traded my Varadero for the VFR1200X last week, and Honda has again done an excellent job with this new (here in Canada) bike. I love the smooth engine and drive shaft. I won't miss the chain maintenance at all. The bike only arrived in Canada late last year, so there are not many around at this time, but hopefully more VFR's will be sold here in Canada than the Varadero. Glad to be part of a new family of dedicated riders world wide.
    Cheers from Canada.

I got the manual version, but might as well call it an automatic, as it has so much torque, once your past 60km/hr you can be in sixth and rarely shift again, even up hill. Amazing bike....

Welcome to the forum Gandalf. Lots of advice and tips here.  Enjoy the bike, particularly as you have some great roads and scenery to explore.
